Throw Out Bearings |
You should always throw out your old throw out bearing every time that you replace your clutch disc and pressure plate. The throw-out bearing usually lasts longer than the pressure plate and disc, however, throw out bearings can be notoriously unpredictable. We advise that you replace the throw-out bearing when replacing the disc or pressure plate because a bearing failure will require you to drop the entire engine again. Replacement of the throw out bearing is cheap insurance against failure. |

Guide Tubes |
This is the guide tube that the throw out bearing is placed on. This should be replaced if significant wear is seen from the throw out bearing binding on it. Replacement of this part is cheap insurance against having to do another clutch job. |

When replacing the clutch release lever on the affected models, it is therefore necessary to update all the parts with late-style components detailed in this bulletin. This update will ensure years of noise-free clutch operation down the road.
